Another use for baby cereal (recipes)

As your baby gets older, you can ensure that she's getting enough iron in her diet by adding Nestlé® Baby Cereal to recipes. If she's over a year old and you've already introduced whole eggs into her diet, then you can try this oatmeal cookie recipe.

Oatmeal Cookies
2 cups (500 ml) rolled oats
¼ cup (50 ml) all-purpose flour
1 cup (250 ml) NESTLÉ Baby Cereal, any variety
2 tsp (10 ml) baking powder
1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
½ cup (125 ml) each butter and packed brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 375°F (180°C). Lightly grease baking sheet or line with parchment paper; set aside.

Combine oats, flour, NESTLÉ Baby Cereal, baking powder and baking soda in large bowl.

Beat butter in another bowl until it is creamy. Beat in brown sugar and eggs. Stir into oat mixture. Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls (15 mL) about 2 inches (5 cm) apart onto baking sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Makes about 24 cookies.
